I understand many people are concerned about safety in Los Cabos following recent incidents in western mainland Mexico. I want to reassure you that Los Cabos remains peaceful, secure, and operating as normal.

We have the advantage in Los Cabos of being “almost an island” — a phrase often used to describe life at the southern tip of the Baja peninsula. Our physical separation from mainland Mexico places us at a considerable distance from the regions more commonly affected by cartel activity. That geographic reality, together with a consistent security presence, has contributed to the stability that has made Los Cabos one of Mexico’s premier luxury destinations and strong real estate markets. Daily life here continues without disruption.

As a single woman living full-time in a relatively remote location, I take safety seriously and remain attentive to it. I stay informed through personal contacts as well as local and international news sources. I'm mindful that some reporting — particularly on social media — can amplify events beyond their immediate context.
